Our Alaska Adventure

In July of 2004 Jack Williams, Cindy Mangsen and Steve Gillette took a group of friends on a Northern adventure that included a seven day cruise up the inner passage from Vancouver to Alaska and another five days of land based exploration. A total of sixty-three of us signed on for the trip. We sailed on the ms Statendam of the Holland America Line from Vancouver, BC on Sunday, July 18th and finished our tour in Fairbanks on Friday, July 30th.

We are grateful to all the brave folks who consented to come along with us. We are also grateful to Jack Williams for all his great music and good cheer.

One of our heroes, Jack is also one of the nicest and most charismatic guys this side of the Arctic Circle. For any of you not familiar with Jack Williams, do look in on his website for music samples as well as reviews and his concert schedule. http://www.jackwilliamsmusic.com

For all the complicated detail work, we relied on our friend, Lynette Miller of Traveling Troubador. Lynette has organized similar tours for lots of musical people and took us deftly through all the complicated waters of cruising. You can find out more about Lynette at http://www.travelingtroubadour.com
